Top Japanese Ramen!

There’s nothing like slurping down a good bowl of Japanese ramen to ward off coughs and colds as the weather changes. Or, just when you are craving it!



So for the past week i went on a hunt for the Best Japanese Ramen in Hong Kong. Serious, i mean it. I had ramen on a daily basis... I even went back to some a couple of times to have a re-taste! - Still not sick of it though! but i think some of the friends i grabbed with me are. haha!

So i decided to make a TOP 3 Ramen list of the yummiest places in town to satisfy your miso, karemiso or ume shio cravings!

Get ready for a food Coma! A flavourful broth and chewy noodles with an unforgettable taste of Yakitori dishes (at a decent price too!) makes this ramen specialist worth visiting if you’re in Tsim Sha Tsui or Causeway Bay.
*Once a month they will also invite a band from Japan to play at night. I was lucky enough to experience this yesterday! I loved it! The restaurant was also filled with Japanese families during dinner time. I felt like i was back in Japan!!!

Hands-down one of the best bowls of ramen in town. This is posh ramen – ramen, fine dining style. Expect to pay over $100 for a bowl of the good stuff, but what you pay in $$, you can taste in quality. Great for a surprise classy date after telling them you're having ramen!
*Best to make a booking for dinner since most of their recommended side dishes and appistizers are only served after 6pm.

Santouka Hokkaido Ramen

Expect long queues at this Hokkaido-style ramen outlet. The ramen was not bad at all but just lacked that MAGIC i had at Ippei-An. You get what you pay for, really not bad for the price.
*I would prefer to go during Lunch because their Lunch Sets are to die for! You get so much for what you're paying.

Of course these places are just my opinion and taste of Japanese Ramen. So really you got taste it yourself to see which one is your Magic Ramen Bowl. hehe.
There were many more Japanese Ramen joints that were pretty good like Yachiyo and Sapporo that's also worth a try.

Retirement day?

So have you heard of The Lazy Song? It would go perfectly with today if i even had the chance to BE LAZY and do all the stuff in the song that apparently lazy people would do.

After what happened today. I feel that it can't even be categorized in to Lazy. - More like, retirement? or NOTHING. Why? because i had a days holiday and i woke up at 5PM. 5PM guys! 5! Normally on a holiday i'll wake up and enjoy a nice day from the Lazy Song.

So, What did i do?
After getting out of bed, washing myself up, listening to a bit of music it was almost 6. I then finally decided to get out of my house and head down to the pubs for a happy hour with my friends. So this picture was my Breakfast.
i had a Dr. Pepper cocktail with fries….

After a nice happy Hour we then went for a classy Japanese teppanyaki dinner that lasted until 10PM and of course we still continued drinking.

I got home at around 12.30AM and put on a DVD. Next thing i knew, it was 10AM the next morning.

Now that is THE LIFE.

I must say though, it felt extremely good….Thumbs up to Me! ♥♥♥

How can i get him to stop watching Porn?

LAX Ranked 3rd Worst Airport in the World. Are You Surprised?

For an airport that looks horrible, operates terribly and still has no train connection, who would be surprised at the latest poll results?
Based on an online survey taken by 14,000 members and world travelers of Priority Pass, LAX came in number three behind London's Heathrow Airport and Charles de Gaulle International Airport in Paris. Oh dear, London's Heathrow - Many people think of London from the old fashioned buildings, depressing weather and basically being plain 'boring' so it doesn't surprise me much in a way and being British I can write a whole blog on that too. But today i'm here to talk about LAX since i've recently been flying in and out of there quite often.

So, LAX, the "Worst Airport" ranking that didn't even surprise officials. Why? This is a busy, crowded traveller processing centre....er, airport. Seating is limited - the floor is your best option, so bring a mat to sleep on! Rude immigration/security staff who automatically assume you are a terrorist or that you will never leave their country. Bathrooms are in poor condition. Signage is poor. There are no conveniences for people in transit....not even a 24 hour coffee shop. Transiting between the 9 terminals is often difficult and confusing.

There is no signage anywhere. On my first visit a few years ago i assumed maybe this was due to construction or something lol. Nope. It's been the same every time and that's just the appetizer. Are you ready for the real ranting? Here it goes...

I hate the Body scanner.
Okay I understand what happened in 911 was unforgivable and unforgettable but still, what the hell. I must say, everytime i don't get picked for the body scan i feel like i've just escaped from getting gang raped or something. LOL!

Speaking of the scanner, the hand luggage inspection part where you take out any electronic devices into a separate tray and walk through the beeper thing while your luggage is sliding through the scanner.
Why the hell should I be the one to push my luggage into the scanner when there's a fucking treadmill?!
"Mam can you make sure you push your bags threw first?" Mam!?
So because you guys have a useless treadmill I must now stick my hand and push my bags all the way through the scanner!? Isnt it your job to make sure my bags are scanned? Lazy fucks.
Plus, I hate having to get my socks dirty on that filthy floor!

Next, Is my British accent really that hard to understand?
Alright, maybe when I blab on and on and on to the point that even I forget even what the fuck I was talking about myself. LOL - But is my British accent really hard to understand for you guys when I'm just asking a simple question? Okay, let's say you didn't understand my English but that doesn't mean you can forget your manners?
"what?" is not polite. If you didn't understand me, try asking me to repeat myself - instead of just staring at me like I'm some sort of idiot.
Remember, your working at an "International" Airport.

How can you not have fucking wifi?!
Don't they realize that people live on that now? It's like not having aircon or even a bloody toilet!
Fine, no wifi, but what the hell, Not even an internet spot with your own provided Computers?
Some people are waiting hours for their next flight what the fuck do you expect them to do?
Hey! You guys think this will get people shopping and spending at your airport? Well they would if you even had any better shops!!!

FInally, Why the fuck can random people be standing around the baggage collection!? Explain! Taxi men, parents, friends of people waiting for their luggage, you guys are so strict about not having other people interfear with our luggage and now you have a fucking tramp camping next to the baggage claim!

Okay, i'm just about done...
I know after all of this many people are thinking "Don't you think you're being a bit over the top?" or "Well, it was great the last time i went." - If so, good for you! really! Because everytime i've been, it's been hell.

What makes it worse is that Los Angeles is known for being ranked the third richest city in the world. When people think of LA, they think Hollywood! Music, Movies, celebrities and fame! People have such high expectations and then when they get to LAX many feel totally let down.

Anyway, besides all this shitness at LAX. My trip was great, had so much to eat! I loved the food, i loved Las Vegas! Work was very successful and i went Crazy shopping on the last day. hehe.

Where to now?

Yes, it seems not too long ago that i had arrived back to Hong Kong from the States and now i'm flying again? Wow.
Where am i heading to this time? Well, i gave out a hint on Facebook haha.
I love working abroad because it feels as if you are needed worldwide. It's a great feeling.

Anyway, i decided to head to the airport earlier to do a bit of shopping. One thing i really like about Hong Kong airport is that there is so much to do! So many restaurants, shops and the best thing the free wifi. Not for me since i'm on 3G but i can imagine how lovely it would be to arrive somewhere and having free internet access. - I still can't believe LAX doesn't have a free wifi spot for their passengers.



Okay so the plane Journey was very pleasant. It was a very full flight but i was the only one who had an empty seat next to me. Hurray! No squishy.

Anyway, it's going to be a long flight again. Good thing i bought a comfy stitch cushy ♥♥♥ hehe. So for those who came to Hong Kong and didn't visit Hong Kong Disneyland you can still go to the HK Disneyland Shop at the Airport and buy some stuff to pretend you've been there. Haha!

Hmm, good thing they've changed the Entertainment slightly since the last time i rode. LOL
